Here at St. Julie Billiart Parish, we utilize high school age youth and adults of varying ages to minister to the children in our religious education program, especially at parish youth retreats and special parish activities.
Youth who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, who are in the 10th through 12th grades, and who are practicing the faith and regularly attending Holy Mass can become Peer Ministers to those younger students who are under instruction and preparing to receive the holy sacraments.
Catholic adults (college age and beyond) may serve as Core Ministers at youth retreats by offering the benefit of their faith experience, authentic understanding of Church teaching, and the example of a virtuous life.
***By diocesan policy, all adults working in Youth Ministry must submit to a criminal background check.
